I love Daft Punk, which is kind of strange given that I don't listen to a lot of electronic music. Of course the French duo or known more for their funk than their driving bass and I feel pretty safe assuming they will steer well clear of the dubstep cesspool that ELM seems to be drowning in currently. I've run hundreds of miles, washed thousands of dishes and written a small infinity of words while listening to this group. Alive 2007 is my most played album, or at least most played since I've been a Last.fm member, and in this writer's humble opinion is one of the best live albums ever recorded.
So at this point I think it's apparent that I'm excited for Random Access Memories. I'm excited as a music fan to have one of the better acts in the business back making records. I'm excited as a runner to have new material to accompany me on the road. Mostly I'm excited for the prospect of Daft Punk going on another North American Tour. They are the one act I would travel anywhere in the US to see.
